  1. 3-4 potatoes boiled, peeled & mashed.
  2. 6 bread slices.
  3. 1 tbsp refined flour (maida).
  4. 1 tbsp corn flour.
  5. 1 cup breadcrumbs.
  6. 1 onion finely chopped.
  7. 1 tsp cumin seeds.
  8. 2 tsp ginger garlic paste.
  9. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder.
  10. 1/2 tsp chilli powder.
  11. 1/2 tsp cumin powder.
  12. 1/2 tsp coriander powder.
  13. 1/2 tsp garam masala powder.
  14. To taste salt.
  15. 2-3 tsp oil.
  16. 2 tsp chopped coriander leaves.
  17. As needed oil for deep frying.

Step by step how to cook Potato Bread Triangles:

  1. Heat 2-3 tsp oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When they splutter, add onion and fry till brown. Then add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, salt and saute for a while. Next, add mashed potato, coriander leaves and cook for a minute or two. Remove to a plate and keep aside to cool down..
  2. In a bowl mix maida, cornflour, salt and water (as needed) together to get a batter of spoon coating consistency. Keep it aside..
  3. Now take bread slices and cut the edges..
  4. On a board roll a bread slice gently and place a small portion of the potato mix at its centre. Spread it evenly leaving 1 cm space from the edges..
  5. Then gently fold the bread slice diagonally and seal it properly with the help of your wet fingers. Do similar potato bread triangles with rest of the bread slices and potato mix..
  6. Dip the prepared potato bread triangles into maida-cornflour batter and coat them in breadcrumbs..
  7. Deep fry them in hot oil until golden brown over a low flame..
  8. Remove and place them on paper towel to absorb excess oil..
  9. Serve them hot with tomato sauce or mint chutney..
