Ingredients for Spinach Chickpea Falafel:
- for Falafel.
- 2 1/2 cups soaked chickpeas.
- 1 cup spinach.
- 1 garlic clove.
- 1/4 cup Coriander chopped.
- 1 small pc ginger.
- 3-4 Curry Leaves (Optional).
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder.
- 1/2 tsp Ground Coriander.
- 1/4 cup Chickpea flour.
- 1/2 tsp baking soda.
- 2 Tbsp breadcrumbs.
- as per taste Salt.
- 1/4 tsp Pan Oil for frying.
- For Indian bread(can use Pita bread)-.
- 4 cups Wheat flour.
- 1 cup Milk.
- 2 tsp Oil(hot).
- 1/2 tsp Salt.
- For Dressing-.
- 1/4 cup Tahini Sauce.
- 1 cup Cheese (Mozzarella or Cottage).
- 8-10 Spinach leaves.
- 1 Cucumber (thin sliced).
- 1 Tomato (thin sliced).
Step by step how to cook Spinach Chickpea Falafel:
- Blend soaked Chickpea, Spinach, coriander, Curry Leaves,garlic and ginger together..
- Add falafel ingredients together except oil and crumb and make soft dough..
- Make walnut size ball from mixture..
- Rotate slowly it in bread crumbs and fry it on low medium flame till golden brown and crispy..
- For Indian Bread Make soft dough from the above ingredients..
- Roll the square tortilla from it or shape it as per your desire.
- Roast it on tawa applying little oil from one side then fold into half then roast it well from all sides.
- Now be ready for dressing, apply tahini sauce on inner side of bread, placed salad and Cheese then keep falafel in it again add some salad..
- Ready to serve this healthy and complete lunch or dinner dish. It’s taste awesome with soup or Saar..
