Ingredients for Spinach Chickpea Falafel:

  1. for Falafel.
  2. 2 1/2 cups soaked chickpeas.
  3. 1 cup spinach.
  4. 1 garlic clove.
  5. 1/4 cup Coriander chopped.
  6. 1 small pc ginger.
  7. 3-4 Curry Leaves (Optional).
  8. 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder.
  9. 1/2 tsp Ground Coriander.
  10. 1/4 cup Chickpea flour.
  11. 1/2 tsp baking soda.
  12. 2 Tbsp breadcrumbs.
  13. as per taste Salt.
  14. 1/4 tsp Pan Oil for frying.
  15. For Indian bread(can use Pita bread)-.
  16. 4 cups Wheat flour.
  17. 1 cup Milk.
  18. 2 tsp Oil(hot).
  19. 1/2 tsp Salt.
  20. For Dressing-.
  21. 1/4 cup Tahini Sauce.
  22. 1 cup Cheese (Mozzarella or Cottage).
  23. 8-10 Spinach leaves.
  24. 1 Cucumber (thin sliced).
  25. 1 Tomato (thin sliced).

Step by step how to cook Spinach Chickpea Falafel:

  1. Blend soaked Chickpea, Spinach, coriander, Curry Leaves,garlic and ginger together..
  2. Add falafel ingredients together except oil and crumb and make soft dough..
  3. Make walnut size ball from mixture..
  4. Rotate slowly it in bread crumbs and fry it on low medium flame till golden brown and crispy..
  5. For Indian Bread Make soft dough from the above ingredients..
  6. Roll the square tortilla from it or shape it as per your desire.
  7. Roast it on tawa applying little oil from one side then fold into half then roast it well from all sides.
  8. Now be ready for dressing, apply tahini sauce on inner side of bread, placed salad and Cheese then keep falafel in it again add some salad..
  9. Ready to serve this healthy and complete lunch or dinner dish. It’s taste awesome with soup or Saar..
