Recepta Granola Simples

Granola - Turned out great! Very moist.. Today I am sharing this Granola! A quick and easy dinner that is ready in under 15 minutes!

Ingredients for Granola:

  1. "dry ingredients".
  2. 7 cups old fashioned oats.
  3. 1 cup wheat bran.
  4. 1 cup flax meal.
  5. "flavorings".
  6. 1/4 cup canola, coconut or olive oil.
  7. 1/4 cup applesauce.
  8. 1/2 cup brown or raw sugar.
  9. 1/2 cup honey or agave.
  10. 1/2 cup water.
  11. 2 teaspoons turmeric.
  12. 1 tablespoon vanilla, maple or almond extract.
  13. 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
  14. 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg.
  15. 1 teaspoon salt.
  16. "nuts, seeds & fruits".
  17. 1 cup broken walnuts.
  18. 1 cup broken pecans.
  19. 1/2 cup raw pumpkin seeds.
  20. 1/2 cup raw sunflower seeds.
  21. 1 cup chopped dates.
  22. 1 cup raisins or dried cranberries.

Step by step how to cook Granola:

  1. Preheat oven to 275° F or 135° C.
  2. Mix oats, bran & flax in a large roasting pan..
  3. Whisk the "flavorings" together and then drizzle over the oat mixture. Stir until evenly moist..
  4. Bake for 1-1/2 hours -- stirring every 15 minutes..
  5. After the third stirring, add the "nuts, seeds & fruits"..
  6. Bake for an additional 15 minutes..
  7. Allow to cool completely. Store in an airtight container..
  8. NOTE: I have experimented with the balance and quantities of the fats and sugars. As I reduced the fat, the texture went from crunchy to chewy. I did not have success with less than 1/4 cup of fat. I have also sometimes replaced the more processed sugars with unsweetened frozen juice concentrate..
  9. Serving size - 1/4 cup.
