Ingredients for Orange Pound Cake:
- 1 cup Refined Flour.
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda.
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder.
- 200 g Condensed Milk.
- 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter.
- 2 tbsp Powdered Sugar(adjust as per your taste).
- 1/2 cup Orange Juice.
- 1 tsp Orange zest.
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla Essence.
- 3-4 drops Orange food colour.
- 3 tbsp Chopped Pistachio(coated with 1tbsp refined flour).
- 1/2 cup Cranberry (optional).
- 2 tbsp Powdered Sugar (to dust).
Step by step how to cook Orange Pound Cake:
- Sieve flour, soda and baking powder twice..
- In a bowl, add condensed milk, butter, sugar and blend them with the help of a blender or whisk..
- Again blend well juice, zest, food colour and vanilla essence..
- Now add dry ingredients to wet in two batches. Beat till batter gets mix. Do not overbeat..
- Fold in the pistachio/cranberries. Pour the batter into a greased tin. Bake at 140°C for 40-45 min..
- Cool it on a wire rack. Dust some powdered sugar and cut into slices..
