Ingredients for Orange Marmalade Cake 🍊:
- 3 Eggs (at room temperature).
- 12 Tbsp Of All-purpose Flour.
- 11 Tbsp Of Granulated Sugar.
- 6 oz Of Butter.
- 2 Tbsp Of Orange Marmalade Jam.
- 1/2 Cup Of Orange Juice (Fresh or Packed Both Can Be Used).
- 2-3 Drops Of Orange Essence.
- 2 Tbsp Of Thick Yogurt.
- 1 &½ Tsp Baking Powder.
- 1 Pinch Of Yellow Food colour (Optional).
- For Butter Icing.
- 4 oz Of Butter.
- 12 Tbsp Of Icing Sugar.
- 2-3 Drops Of Orange Essence.
Step by step how to cook Orange Marmalade Cake 🍊:
- First,Preheat your oven at 180 Degree Celsius..
- Swift all dry ingredients (All-purpose flour, baking powder) in a bowl and set it a side..
- Beat butter in a separate bowl until becomes light and creamy..
- Now add three eggs one by one and add sugar in 4 portions while beating the eggs, beat until becomes light in colour and fluffy in texture..
- Now add 2-3 drops of orange essence and 2 tbsp of thick yogurt (don't skip yogurt, because it makes the cake soft and elevates the orange flavor),and add 2 tbsp of Orange Marmalade Jam (those orange zest really makes it good, make sure to put zest that is in the jam),Now beat just until well combined.Set the beater aside and let, spatula handle the rest of the work..
- Add orange juice and mix with a rubber spatula..
- Add dry ingredients mixer in 4 portion and gentle fold in the batter until it becomes well combined..
- Pour the batter in a parchment paper lined(optional) and greased cake pan and bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until toothpick comes out clean..
- Cool the cake down to room temperature, remove it from the mold and cover with a thin layer of orange jam(it will increase the flavor and make the cake look glossy). It's ready to eat,😊 but if you want to make it a bit fancy,decorate it with butter icing receipe just below!.
- For butter icing beat the butter for around 4-minutes,the butter colour will turn lighter and will increase in volume, now add all of that icing sugar and don't forget orange essence off course it's an orange cake, now beat until forms a creamy texture, no need to add any liquid though it will look dry when added sugar initially but will get combine and makes beautiful frosting..
