Ingredients for Tawa Wheat Pizza:

  1. 3 Tbsp Pizza Sauce.
  2. 1 Tbsp Mayo/Cheese Spread.
  3. 1 Cup Mozarella Cheese.
  4. 1/2 Cup Capsicum.
  5. 1/2 Cup Onion.
  6. 1/2 cup boiled corns.
  7. 3 Tsp oregano.
  8. 2 Tsp Mixed Herbs.
  9. as per taste Salt and Pepper.
  10. 2 Tsp Chilli flakes.
  11. For Dough:.
  12. 1 cup warm water.
  13. 2 Tbsp Granulated Sugar.
  14. 2 Tsp Dry Active Yeast.
  15. 2 Tbsp Milk Powder.
  16. 2 Tsp Salt.
  17. 3 Cups Whole Wheat Flour.
  18. 2 tbsp Butter.
  19. 1-2 Tsp butter/Ghee extra.

Step by step how to cook Tawa Wheat Pizza:

  1. Take a big mixing bowl and add warm water in it..
  2. Now add granulated sugar to it. Dissolve it completely..
  3. Now add dry active yeast. Do not mix. Cover with lid and leave for 10 minutes. This step is not required because yeast is already active but doing like this gives much better result..
  4. After 10 minutes, uncover. You will notice yeast has been activated properly..
  5. Now to it, add milk powder and salt. Mix nicely and keep aside..
  6. Now take another utensil to knead dough..
  7. Add whole wheat flour in it..
  8. Make a well in between and pour in the yeast solution previously made along with 2 tbsp butter..
  9. Now knead to medium soft dough. Do it for at least 3-5 minutes..
  10. Cover with cloth and keep for 2 hours..
  11. After 2 hours, you will notice the dough has risen properly..
  12. So lightly grease with butter or ghee and knead again for a minute..
  13. Now divide the portions of dough into 5 parts. Make sure your dough should be crack free..
  14. Take 1 portion and roll it with the help of rolling pin in a round shape. Use dry maizeflour if required for rolling..
  15. Base should not be very thick and not too thin. Fork it to avoid the dough to risen further..
  16. Now take a flat base pan. Grease it lightly and lightly cook the base from both sides at low medium flame..
  17. Now put back the base on your kitchen counter and spread pizza sauce on it..
  18. I usually mix mayo with my pizza sauce to give it more creamy texture..
  19. Then put a layer of mozzarella cheese followed by vegetables of your choice..
  20. I have used onion, capsicum and corns..
  21. Put another layer of cheese and sprinkle oregano, mixed herbs, chilli flakes and salt and pepper..
  22. Carefully put this base loaded with cheese and other stuff on greased pan and cover from top with the help of lid..
  23. Let it cook at low flame for 10 minutes only..
