Ingredients for Potato Curry:
- 250 gm Potatoes.
- 1 Big Onion chopped.
- 1 Big Tomato Chopped.
- 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste.
- 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder.
- 2 tbsp Coriander powder.
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder.
- 1 tsp Garam masala.
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds.
- To taste Salt.
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil.
- As needed Water.
- 2 tsp Curry leaves.
- 2 tsp coriander leaves.
- To Grind.
- 2 piece Coconut.
- 1 tsp Fennel seeds.
Step by step how to cook Potato Curry:
- Wash and cut the potatoes as Cubes..
- Grind the coconut and fennel seeds to a fine paste..
- Heat oil in a Pressure cooker, add in the Cumin seeds, Curry leaves, onions and ginger garlic paste and saute for 1minute..
- Then add the chopped tomatoes and salt. Saute well..
- Further add in the spice powders (red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder). Mix well. cook till the Tomatoes are mushy.
- Now add potatoes and saute well..
- Then add the grounded masala, enough water for the Curry..
- Check for salt and spice. Add the chopped coriander leaves. Cover the pressure cooker and cook for 3 whistles..
- After 3 whistles, open the pressure cooker and sprinkle some more chopped coriander leaves..
- Potato Curry is ready to serve..
