Ingredients for Potato Curry:

  1. 250 gm Potatoes.
  2. 1 Big Onion chopped.
  3. 1 Big Tomato Chopped.
  4. 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste.
  5. 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder.
  6. 2 tbsp Coriander powder.
  7. 1 tsp Turmeric powder.
  8. 1 tsp Garam masala.
  9. 1 tsp Cumin seeds.
  10. To taste Salt.
  11. 1 tbsp Sesame oil.
  12. As needed Water.
  13. 2 tsp Curry leaves.
  14. 2 tsp coriander leaves.
  15. To Grind.
  16. 2 piece Coconut.
  17. 1 tsp Fennel seeds.

Step by step how to cook Potato Curry:

  1. Wash and cut the potatoes as Cubes..
  2. Grind the coconut and fennel seeds to a fine paste..
  3. Heat oil in a Pressure cooker, add in the Cumin seeds, Curry leaves, onions and ginger garlic paste and saute for 1minute..
  4. Then add the chopped tomatoes and salt. Saute well..
  5. Further add in the spice powders (red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder). Mix well. cook till the Tomatoes are mushy.
  6. Now add potatoes and saute well..
  7. Then add the grounded masala, enough water for the Curry..
  8. Check for salt and spice. Add the chopped coriander leaves. Cover the pressure cooker and cook for 3 whistles..
  9. After 3 whistles, open the pressure cooker and sprinkle some more chopped coriander leaves..
  10. Potato Curry is ready to serve..
