Ingredients for Chicken Shawarma:
- Marination of Chicken.
- 300 gm Boneless Chicken.
- 1 tbsp salt (to taste).
- 1 tbsp red chilli powder.
- 1 tsp haldi.
- 1 tsp dhania powder.
- 1 tsp oregano.
- 2 tbsp soya sauce.
- 1 tbsp vinegar.
- 1 tbsp chilli sauce.
- 1/2 cup yoghurt.
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste.
- 1 tbsp oil for frying.
- Red sauce.
- 1 medium onion.
- 1/2 cup cream.
- 2 tbsp red chilli powder.
- 1 tbsp soya sauce.
- 1 tbsp vinegar.
- 1 tbsp chilli sauce.
- 1/2 tsp thyme.
- White sauce.
- 4 tbsp yoghurt.
- 1/2 mayonnaise.
- 1 tbsp white sesame seeds.
- 1 tsp salt.
- 1 tsp black pepper.
- 2 tbsp olive oil.
- Filling.
- 1 cup cabbage shredded.
- 2 cucumbers julienne.
- 2 capsicums julienne.
- 2 tomatoes julienne.
- 1 tsp lemon juice.
- 6 shawarma/pita breads.
Step by step how to cook Chicken Shawarma:
- For marination. Wash and cut chicken into thin slices/cubes. In a bowl, add all the marination ingredients. Mix well. Leave aside for 1 hr..
- For red sauce. Blend all red sauce ingredients to form a smooth, thick paste. Set aside..
- For white sauce. Dry roast the sesame seeds till brown. Add to blender along with all other white sauce ingredients. Blend to form a smooth thick paste. Set aside..
